COTS & COT BEDS

There is a huge range of cots and cot beds available and when making the right choice for your baby we suggest you consider the following points:

Cribs do the same job as a moses basket and will only last until your baby is 6 months old (at the most)

Cots are smaller than cot beds and work very well in a small room.  You should be looking for an easy smooth drop-side mechanism and they all come with 2 or 3 base positions.  Many have plastic teething rails but these are not essential.  A cot will last your child until about 2 – 3 years when they can then go into a junior bed or a standard single bed with a bed guard.

Cot beds convert to a junior bed by lowering the base and removing the sides and will last until your child is about 5 years old.  They are bigger than standard cots and last a lot longer, many cot beds come with matching nursery furniture.
